The editor is free. The services are per seat.
Halmos Editor is open source and free to download, and it stays that way. A subscription adds the hosted services that run on our servers rather than on your Mac, for one person per seat.

How a seat works
A seat belongs to one named person at a time. A personal plan's seat is yours; a team's owner assigns its seats from the organisation page, and can move one to someone else when a person leaves. You connect the editor on each of your Macs to your account, and it uses whichever paid seat you hold.
Changing seats
Seats you add are charged straight away for the rest of the current billing period. Seats you remove stop at once, and the unused time is credited at your next renewal, with anything left over kept for later bills. If you cancel before the renewal, we refund the credit. See the refund policy.
Cancel any time
Cancel from Paddle's customer portal whenever you like. Cancelling stops future charges, and the services keep working to the end of the period you have paid for. The details are in the refund policy.
